Motorcycle Repair: harley starting problem, rear fender, starter switch

how u doin today dont know if u can answer this but   i have a 1993 fat boy  ran fine yesterday today it would not start i checked  and tightned all wires  icharged the battery even though it did not need it everything works headlight horn  lights nice and bright  bike does nothing no clicks  at all itook the starter button apart  and checked it with a  test light no power to any swttch the wiring all looks ok  if  i jump the red and green wires on the relay on the rear fender the starter works  could the starter relay be bad? any  idea would be appreciated thanks  a lot  TOM

Sorry i didnt get back to you sooner, I had a family emergency.
If you dont have any power to the starter switch or power going away from the starter switch then you need to start there. You need power going to the starter relay. WHat you are going to have to do is go backwards from the starter switch to the ignition switchand see where the short is.
