QuestionI am having trouble locating orginal parts for this project. Where would you advise that I look for a replacement for the drain plug, located at the bottom of the gas storage bowl on the bottom of the carburetor, or a wheel spindle clamp for the right side of the front wheel, or a speedometer cable.
I have the original owner's manual and can supply pictures of the diagrams for these parts if needed.

Searching for parts to restore your classic Triumph is supposed to be a challenge and adventure. Each little find is a victory, filling your heart with a sense of pride.
Ok, enough of the bull.
Your main problem is finding the small pieces without having to buy the things they are attached to like buying a whole carb just because you need a drain plug. Asside from swap meets and auction sites, I can give you a few places to begin your hunt.
