Motorcycle Repair: Honda Pipes, vance hines pipes, k n air filter

I own a 2003 Shadow Spirit VT1100C. I love this bike but want the sound. Many of my friends have told me to upgrade my pipes using vance and hines. Everyone has told me I will like the sound. My concern is will I need to re-jet the carb after installing these pipes. Some people have said yes and others no. I don't want to screw up the performance of this bike so hopefully you can give me a little insight.

Hi Dave,

Yes, re-jetting will be required.

I recommend the Stage 1 jetting kit with a single K & N air filter for the Vance & Hines pipes. Sounds sweet!
