I have a ZX9R Kawasaki.  The bike wont start. It sounds as if it wants to turn over but fails too. It also backfires when attempting to start it

Hi Steve,

Was the MC stored over the winter?

I suspect the gas in the carbs has varnished. This requires removal of the carbs, disassembly, and a thorough cleaning.
