Motorcycle Repair: Front brake master cyl repair, japanese bikes, master cylinders

Cris, '82 750 Kawasaki front brake master cyl,
is there a check valve on the end of the spring?
Can you use a 'chemical dip' like carb. cleaner
to clean the master cyl.
any help appreciated.

Hi Charlie.
 As far as I know, there is no "check valve" in any of the master cylinders on any of the japanese bikes out there.

As far as using a chemical dip on it, yes you can, just be sure that you use a cleaner that will not take the paint off the outside of the casing.  Also be sure to disassemble the assembly before you dip it.
