Motorcycle Repair: 98 lowrider spitting/popping, air fuel mixture, stock jet

Question
I have a 98 lowrider that is sippting and popping lately causing some hesitation in acceleration.  Plugs seem ok and wiring is in good condition.  Ideas?  Its happened to me while on a ride and I had to give it a lot of clutch and gas to make it home.

the low speed jet is pluged up and or too small of low speed jet, should have a 42 stock jet   needs a 48 low speed jet with the air/fuel mixture screw turned out 3 full turns form slightly bottomed.. Southside Johnny Phoenix AZ
