Motorcycle Repair: 1994 yamaha 600 fzr, yamaha 600, fuse
QuestionChris,
I accidently crossed the positive and negative when I was changing the battery. I heard a pop. Now there is not any power. I checked the ignition fuse and it's fine. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Brad
AnswerHi Brad.
The ignition fuse is for the ignition system only. There is also a main fuse which controls all of the power going into all of the systems. That is the fuse that went pop.
The main fuse is not always with the other fuses. Oftentimes, it is in another area of the bike. On Yamaha, it is usually on the high side and inline on a red wire coming from the battery's hot lead.
Good luck.
