QuestionHello Mark.
I run a 1997 Suzuki GSX 600 F
In dry conditons the bike runs very well,
but after riding for 10 minutes in the rain
it starts to misfire badly
When I got home yesterday after a wet trip I removed the HT leads and sparking plugs and found
that 3 of the plugs were OK but number 4 was oiled up.
Can you advise me as to a remedy please.
Thanks Dave.
AnswerHi Dave,
The remedy is to find where water causes the short. Have a H2O spray bottle? Direct a fine spray mist onto the #4 HT lead. Watch for arcing/misfiring.
Another method is use a screwdriver. Hold the insulated handle and move the tool end along suspected areas of HT lead. Keep other hand in your pocket. lol Watch for arcing/misfiring.
Try these and advise.
