Motorcycle Repair: 2-stroke premix shelf life, stroke oil, quart bottle

How long will 2-stroke oil last sealed in it's original quart bottle?  I mean not mixed.  I have an old case from 1990.  It seems to be OK but my plug is fouling in 1987 CR250.  Problem may be unrelated to age of oil?

Hi Steve.  Even sealed, moisture can find it's way into oil.  If it was 1 or 2 years old, I wouldn't worry about it, but it's 14 years old.  Get rid of it and use new.  If that doesn't fix it up, then get back to me with all of the symptoms and we can take it from there.
