Motorcycle Repair: Gas contamination, harley sportster 1200, leaded gas

put unleaded in instead of leaded...cycle has trouble staying idle and running..

Your bike should run on unleaded gas. Not even sure where you can get leaded gas anymore. The lead in the gas is not the problem. Sounds like you got some bad gas. I would drain the tank and put some fresh gas in and see if that doesnt solve the problem. If not, then you are going ot have to pull the carb and see if the jets are plugged.
