Motorcycle Repair: locked in gear, clutch system, isp problems

My 2000 1500fi Kawasaki Nomad locked in gear.
I can't get it into nuetral.
It has been sitting for a couple of months.
I did start it and run it for about 15 minutes about half and hour before I put it into first gear and it died.
I can't start it 'in gear' because it is cold and the clutch doesn't engage fully---when I try it just 'chugs' forward.
What do you recommend?

Sorry for the dely in responding to your question. Having ISP problems. Usually reply in a couple of hours.

Try bleeding the clutch system.
