Motorcycle Repair: Fluid changes, synthetic engine oil, shock proof

Hey Johnny,  I have a '94 FLHTC that I bought last fall.  This is my first HD and in my maint. records that were available the previous owner changed to synthetic screamin eagle oil.  Is this oil only good for the motor or is it good for the tranny and clutch. Should I stick to a semi syn like an 80/90 or a primary oil.  Thanks for the help.

Hi Ron.
Harley saids there synthetic is good for the engine,trans and clutch. I dont use synthetic engine oil my self. I use H-D 360  20/50w motor oil and Harley primary fluid and RED LINE SHOCK PROOF Transmission oil. This trans oil is a full synthetic oil and it is orange in color and it works great.It takes the clunk out of the trans when shifting. JOHNNY  www.southsidesdyno.com  602-705-7474 PHOENIX AZ.
