how can i diagnose a crank but no start problem
it only happens when the moter is warm or hot and has sat for 10 to 20 minutes

Hi Phil -

Is your check engine light on?

If not, then the first thing I would check is your ignition module, located in the distributor.
Usually a defective module will fail when the engine warms up, and then will start the engine again when it cools off.
