My 92 maxima the shifter goes all gears but the car will not move

Sorry for the late reply.

I assume you have checked the obvious - transmission oil level, and all the linkage attached?

If all OK, then I would try an additive called AT-205, which has helped me in the past.

Finally, if it still occurs, then the transmission will need an overhaul. This has to be done by specialists.
