Nissan Repair: Serpentine Belt, serpentine belt, sentra

I am trying to change the serpentine belt on my 08 Sentra. I can see the tensioner but do not see how to turn it-I'm used to using a 3/8 drive rachet. There doesn't seem to be enough room to get any tool between it ans the body of the car. TIA

Hi Jeff -

The idler you see is the adjustment pulley. You probably wont get a ratchet in there as it is rather tight. You will need an open end wrench (I think the size is 14mm) to get to the bolt, and loosening the bolt will release the idler.

It is very tight, but you are on the right track.
