Nissan Repair: code, resistance ohms, nissan altima

Hi,

I just changed the tps on a 99 nissan altima and the sode now reads po1705.  Is that realter to the tps?  what do I do? Code that cause a hard tranmission shifting?

Hi there, we need to make sure that the TPS is properly adjusted. If you are not familiar with the testing, please have a qualified technician do it. You will need a DVOM meter and a scanning tool to make sure that the ECM communicates with the TPS, that there is a 5volt reference voltage, and a good ground and that the resistance (OHMS) varies from closed to wide open throttle position.
