QUESTION: ok sorry it took so long i had asked u about my car u told me to check the fuel pressure and volume both checked out fine. when i start the car it idles fine but when i push the gas pedal down halfway or all the way the motor starts making a vroom vroom vroom sound and never revs up like it should i took yhe exhaust sensor loose and it's not as bad but still does it could it be the sensor??? also when i put in drive and try to take off it just cuts off

Is the check engine light on?

Also, when you say it just cuts out, do you mean the engine dies, or just hesitates?

I am thinking this could be the TPS (Throttle Positioning Sensor), but that would throw the check engine light. Other thing it could be is a clogged cat converter. Try removing the exhaust at the manifold and see if you have the same problem.

QUESTION: check engine light is not on
yes it just cuts off
i removed the o2 sensor it runs a little better but once you give it gas it it kinda of bounces and doesn't rev up

OK. What about removing the exhaust at the manifold. Have you tried that yet?

Also, did removing the O2 cause the check engine light to turn on?

Hi Scott -

Since you have no code when you remove the O2, I am thinking it could be the computer (ECM). How about removing other sensors, like the TPS. See if the engine light comes on. If not, then I suspect the ECM.
