Nissan Repair: driver side door, door latch, putty knife

Question
I can't open the driver side door through the inside only through outside.the inside door handle wont release the latch, how can i fix this problem? how do you remove the latch? cant see what I'm dealing with to try and fix.

Hi Carlos -

You will have to remove the door panel. Carefully pry off the panel with a putty knife or wide tool. Ensure you catch the snaps behind the panel, otherwise you may damage the panel material. Some areas may be screwed down with a philips screw, perhaps by the arm rest.

Once all snaps are removed, disconnect all wires and carefully remove the panel. Look for a disconnected linkage from the door handle to the door latch. Each end is fastened by a plastic clip which may have broke or come off. Check the bottom of the door inside in case it fell there.

These are just general instructions, as I do not have the make, model, or year of your vehicle.
