Nissan Repair: Nissan Sunny, drive gear taking long to engage, transmission fluid, castrol

Hi, i have a nissan sunny with a qg16. In November I changed the transmission fluid because the car was not moving when in drive. Now the drive gear is takin 5-10 seconds to engage when changed from park. please tell me wat can be the problem. i used Castrol ATF for imports...

Hi Ashton -

Looks like your transmission is showing signs of needing and overhaul.

Try this first - see if you can get your hands on an additive called AT205. I have used it in the past for transmissions and it does wonders.

If that does not work, then plan to recondition your transmission. Sorry it is not better news, but I afraid that is the only thing left to do.
