Nissan Repair: no acceloration, accelerator cable, throttle linkage

when i put my foot down on the accelerator there is no power the engine doesn't even rev the motor sounds good and it starts without a problem but like i said there is no accelerator what do i need to do is there something that i need to look at or that has come off?

Hi Pennie -

It is possible that the accelerator cable linkage got disconnected, or cable broke.

Open the hood and have someone press the accelerator several times while looking at the throttle linkage.
If you don't see it moving back and forth, then the cable probably snapped. The cable can be replaced independently, so no worries.
