QUESTION: where is the knock sensor for a nissan maxima 98 located on the car, and how to replace it?


Nissan max   ANSWER: Hi Lee -

The knock sensor is located near the intake manifold and attached to the engine. It is screwed in, with one wire attached.

Standing on the driver side, looking under the center intake manifold; you will see a round black object with a 10mm or 12mm bolt in the center, which is the knock sensor.
