Nissan Repair: distributor question, spark plug wires, firing order
QuestionMy car has a problem somewhere. It runs fine until it worms to normal operating temp. Then it starts studdering when the rpms get to 1000-1500. I've replaced the fuel pump, injectors...still no luck same problem occured. The code that came up had to do with the IAT sensor. Upon looking for that I noticed the distributor cap was missing a screw, and it looked like time for a replacement. I replaced the cap and rotor and now it will not start. I've checked the firing order and connections, everything seems to be in place. Am I missing something? Please help, any suggestions are appreciated.
AnswerHi Angel -
First of all recheck the distributor cap and rotor replacement. Especially the spark plug wires. If you cross just one of them, then the car will not start. I can assist you with the firing order, but I did not get the year, make and model of your vehicle.
But, 90% of the time wires get crossed, which is why it is not starting.
Hope this helps -
