QuestionGood Morning Calvin,
First, Thank you for being there and volunteering to share your experience!
My question:
My SUV is running fine. The QX4 has AUTO 4 wheel drive in that it engages the front wheels when the sensor detects the need. I changed my fluid at 40,000 miles. It looked clean but had it changed anyway. The QX 4 now has 76,000 miles on it. Should I have it changed again? What do you think the time line should be given that my driving is 50/50 around town and highway?
2nd question - not about trannys. My wife has a Q 45. Great car. 130,000 miles. Should she have the sealed front end joints modified with grease fittings to allow for a lube job after all these miles?
That's it. Thank you!

AnswerHi Brad -
Thanks for the comment. I love volunteering to assist people although it does take some time. People like you make it all worth it!
Anyway, YES, would be a good practice to replace the oil every 40,000. Good job on keeping accurate records. A wonderful additive for your transmission oil is AT205. Awesome stuff. I call it a mechanic in a can.
For your wife's vehicle, the joints are designed to be sealed, so mods are not necessary.
Hope this helps!
