Nissan Repair: 94 nissan altima hard to switch gears, nissan altima, clutch slave

My car just started having problems. It is hard to put it in gears sometimes, I mean really hard. Then, other times it functions normally. What should I be prepared for?

I am assuming that your car is a manual shift?

If so, could you give me more info,

Is it hard to shift when the vehicle is moving, still, or doesn't matter?
Is there a pattern to when it is hard to shift? Like engine cold or warm?

If it is difficult in all gears, could be the clutch slave or master.

If only certain gears, could be the synch.
