Nissan Repair: Fuel Pump, fuse box, hot wire

I have a problem with my fuel pump on a 1997 Maxima

It stopped working overnight

I replaced the pump and still not working.

tested the pump it works fine until I put it into the car

I put a meter on the wires and I got 1.56 volts

Are you saying that you checked the hot wire on the pump installed and only got 1.56 volts with the igniton on? Can you tell me how you tested for voltage?

If so, you might want to back trace it to the fuse box and relay, and find out where you are losing voltage.
