Nissan Repair: loss of fan speeds, phillips screws, courtesyparts

Have a 2000 maxima that has only the high speed working. Speeds 1-3have stopped working and is this a difficult fix.

There is a blower resistor on the blower case that has to be replaced.  A connector and two screws.  You will have to rremove the glovebox to get access.  But, that is just a matter of a bunch of phillips screws.  rockauto.com or courtesyparts.com are both good sources for the resistor.  Or you could just pick one up at your dealer or parts store for a little more.  I like the ease of getting the part delivered to the house.  But, on the resistor the store will probably have them in stock.  I just hate to go to the parts store only to be told that they will have to order it.  Heck, I can order it myself...
