QuestionHello, I came by to ask for some much needed diagnosis.
Here is my scenario.
I was traveling a distance of about 8 hours, and an hour away from my destination I started to have problems
It felt like my car lost power, then the battery light went on and the engine stalled out. When I attempted to start it nothing happened. from the time the car felt and lost power time elapsed was under a minute.I was traveling at a fast speed as well, and did not give vehicle rest (i traveled non stop, only for gas). i was wondering what may be wrong with it.
thank you for your time and help.
AnswerLee,
I would first get the electrical system diagnosed. Since you say the battery light went on I would assume the alternator died. I say this since you say first the battery light came on. If the engine just died and all the warning lights came on I would think fuel or ignition. So, first get the charging system checked. No alternator and the battery being drained would stop the engine.
