Nissan Repair: 2000 Nissan Exterra wont start, 2000 nissan exterra, metal surfaces

Question
If it turns over, u can hear the fuel pump engage, but truck wont start, what else can it be?  Fuel filters rarely plugged up 2 a pont truck wont start... So is it computer system or ???

Hi Tonya -

Try this test -

Remove a spark plug boot and insert a screwdriver into the boot until it wedges against the terminal. Hold the screwdriver shaft 1/4" away from any metal surface while someone cranks the engine. Do not touch any metal surface while doing this.

Please tell me if there is a spark jumping across the 2 metal surfaces.
