Depending on the type you either back off the shoes using a brake shoe adjustment tool or you will have to do this and remove the center cap and the cotter pin and nut to get the drum off.  I would get a Hayes Manual for your specific vehicle.  Also, you could send me information on your specific type and model and I will provide more information.
