Nissan Repair: speed senors, vehicle speed sensor, senors
QuestionAfter a while of driving my Infiniti I 30 (same as nissan) if i come to a stop and accelerate again, I can't get out of first or second gear. The engine will just rev up high and not switch gears. The diagnostic machine at autozone said it was the speed senor. Does that make sense?
AnswerDevin,
The vehicle speed sensor is the same one that drives the speedometer. In the old days it was a cable that screwed into the transmission. Just purchase a VSS and replace yours. It is on the transmission case and an easy replacement. Autozone should have one.
