Nissan Repair: 1997 Nissan pickup brake lights, rubber grommet, brake light switch
QuestionMy P/up's brake lights stay on after vehicle is turned off. Headlights function correctly and are turned off.
The only way i can turn off brake lights is by disconnecting battery.
AnswerHi Jose -
Look up on the brake pedal, follow the bracket up until you see the brake light switch. Where the switch meets the brake pedal bracket, there should be a little rubber grommet that fits in the hole. It is probably gone, which is why the brake lights remain on.
Install a new one, and you should be good to go. It is available at any auto parts store and costs a couple bucks max.
Hope this helps
