Nissan Repair: 96 Nissan Maxima, nissan maxima, orfice tube

My A/C compressor is turning on for a few seconds then shuts off..Blowing cold only when the compressor is on. (obviously)...yesterday it was working fine. I replaced the a/c relay (Miyamoto Nissan) hoping for an easy fix but it's still doing it. The a/c is good I checked it per directions with the EZ Chill a/c charging can with attached gauge that I bought from Walmart. Thanks Kurt

There are several things that can cause this.  Too much refrigerant or too little coolant.  The other cause is a sticking orfice tube and that will be difficult since it is under the dash.  I would have the system pressures checked to be sure.  But, those are the causes.
