Nissan Repair: mass air flow?????, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

my car wont let me take it above two grand. one day it started doing this, i can bearly hit the gas without it jerking back and forth and like boging out its so weird. i really  need to figure this out, is it the mass air flow sensor

I do not know what year or model you have.  But, it does sound like a mass airflow sensor.  Get a Haynes Manual and a digital volt ohm meter and test yours using the procedure in the book.  The book is about $20 bucks as is a digital volt ohm meter.
