Nissan Repair: 91 2wheeldrive pathfinder timing belt, interference engine, timing belt

pretty sure the timing belt broke on the highway, is it for sure I damaged the valves? how do I tell? lastly is it easier to just swap motors instead of repairing? thanks

Yes, unfortunately it is an interference engine, so some valves need to be replaced.

To repair will be a pretty dollar, however replacing the engine would be substantially more. I guess all depends on what you want to do.
