Nissan Repair: nissan pathfinder, muffler repair, nissan pathfinder

quoted over $1000 to fix a muffler that has rusted and detatched.
plus over 400 to fix a left front axel.

Any advice?

I am assuming that the muffler repair entails replacing the exhaust and tail pipe as well. What year is this vehicle? Even so, the cost should be about $300 max.

For the axle - is your vehicle a 4 wheel drive?

Personally I think you should get a second opinion.
Seems high.
