How do i go about changing the rear brakes on a 97 Nissan altima myself

You will need to jack up the car and support it with stands and then remove the wheels and to get the drums off you will need to use several tools.  First, the dust cap needs to be removed and then the cotter pin and nut to get the drum off.  Now, it is simply replacing the shoes and installing and adjusting the shoes to fit the drum.  A Haynes Manual is the best for pictures and directions.
