How much does a mechanic "generally" charge to replace a throttle body on a 01 Nissan Maxima 4 door sedan? How long does that usually take? How much does the part(s) cost?

The part costs $528.oo new.  The following is a link to the part and you will be looking at a couple of hundred in labor and additional parts.  I would do my best to find another source like ebay before spending this kind of cash for a throttle body.  Why do you think yours needs replacement?
