How do I replace valve seals and caps without pulling the head? I have a 1993 Nissan truck, 4 cylinder, 12 valves

unfortunately theres no way around it.  its not that big of a job if you have a good weekend off.  while the head is off i would have it planed and get yourself a nice headgasket in the process.  the 2.4 litre Nissan motors are over head cam and the valves are installed from below.  it really isn't a difficult job if you have the proper tools and some semi advanced mechanic skills.  remember to mark your dist and timing chain.  good luck.
