Can anyone tell me where this is located? Also will a problem affect gas mileage. Thank you

The temperature sensor is back at the gas tank.  It should not be getting hot.  You probably have a fuel pump beginning to fail.  You mileage should not be impacted.  But, I would be sure to check the performance of the fuel pump and replace it soon if it is getting hot.  This code does not uaually come up.
