QuestionThe truck starts to "chug", not getting full power from gas, the next day it won't
start. Both days it has been bad weather, not known if it's a coincidence.
Engine turns, battery is fine, new starter in, grounds checked. Turn and turn,
won't catch to start. Coil checked, Distributor cap checked. Is it weather
related?
AnswerMegan,
I would check the fuel pump, fuel pump relay and for the presense of fuel pressure at the fuel rail. Second, I would use starter fluid and spray a little in the filter box. Then, replace the filter and start the truck. If it starts you know you have a fuel related issue. Nissan's are known to act up in cold weather. So, get a fuel dryer additive and fill the tank with premium gas and give that a try if all else fails.
