QUESTION: Hi, Can you tell me if it is possible to source the small plastic lever/handle that locks the adjustable steering column on my Micra. Someone attempted to steal the vehicle (unsuccessfully) and broke this handle

This part is normally a dealer item, and usually auto parts stores do not carry it. Do you have a dealership where you live?

QUESTION: Hi Calvin, The local dealer reckons I need a new steering column. i will try and see if I can get a salvage part as the complete thing costs over £1000 sterling. Thanks for your advice anyway

Thanks for the follow up. Yes, a salvage part is the way to go, if indeed the entire steering column has to be replaced. I still think that you can just replace the lever, but I will need to see it to be sure.
