Nissan Repair: 2004 Quest Pass drum seized, star wheel, wheel cylinder

Has ABS. Parking brake off. Wheel is seized. How do I get the drum off to see what's wrong? Which way do I turn the manual adjuster to loosen the shoes on the passenger side.

Hi David -

The manual adjuster has a catch that needs to be pushed back while turning the star wheel. You have to use the same access hole for both, so it gets a little tedious. I believe it is clockwise, looking from the front, or upwards from the side.

Another way you can do this is to open the bleeder valve for the wheel cylinder and see if it releases.
