Nissan Repair: laud noise, nissan altima, drive belts

My Nissan Altima 2003 engine started to be really noisy and its getting worse. when I press the gas pedal, the engine is just roaring, and there is also these ticking sound. I took it to the mechanic, and he said that its normal and the ticking sound are some lids. and sometimes when I start driving after a stop the car is idling weird, but mechanic said my transmittion is ok.

I think you need a second opinion on your car. Might want to get another mechanic to look at it. I am sorry, but without the car in front of me, and being able to hear it, I only have to guess - These are the things I think it could be -

Drive belts
water pump
Idler pulley(s)
alternator bearing
power steering

Have you checked the oil level, and all other fluid levels?
