Nissan Repair: 2002 Nissan Xterra, nissan xterra 2002, synthetic transmission fluid

2002 Xterra...Only when the truck has been sitting over night and the tempature is cold(Live in Canada) when I start driving(Manual Trans) after about 100feet a noise big bang noise under the floor like the tranny just fell out then not again until the next morning. Could it be a stuck emergancy brake?

Could be the emergency brake on the drums sticking or the transmission is not enjoying the cold weather.  I would first try without the parking brake overnight.  If the noise goes away you know to replace the shoes.  If not change to a synthetic transmission fluid.
