Nissan Repair: Code P0505, air control valve, idle air control valve

I had my Idle air control valve replaced about 4 months ago. Sometime last week my Check Engine light came on. Had a diagnostic done, showing' the code P0505. My Mechanic says i might have to take it to a dealer to have the ECM reprogrammed. The car drives rough. Need your advice. Thanks

I would not think this is a computer problem since it is showing the idle air control valve messing up again.  I would have it checked and have the throttle body cleaned.  Reset the code and see if it comes back.  Also, make sure the connector is making a good connection.
