Nissan Repair: datsun 280zx automatic transmission, neutral safety switch, lucky guy

i recently purchased a 1980 280zx with an automatic transmission.  the car will not start in Park but will in Neutral.  What might be causing this and is it a simple repair?  thanks,

You are a lucky guy.  I miss my 289ZX...  Anyway, the neutral safety switch is defective and needs to be replaced.  It is an easy fix.
