THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON THIS MORNING.  I DON'T HAVE 12,000 MILES ON IT YET.  WHAT IS THE BEST ROUTE TO TAKE?

If the car has only 12,000 miles on it I would go to Autozone or Checker and get the code read for free.  If you take it to the dealer and the gas cap was loose they would charge you $100 bucks to read the code.  If the folks at Autozone or Checker provide another code than a evaporative leak, gas cap loose, then take it to the dealer and have them check what is going on.  If you would like, email me back with the code...
