how do you remove the intake manifold on '94 300 zx

I would get a Haynes Manual or a factory service manual for the diagrams.  But, to remove the intake manifold you need to first disconnect the battery, and depressurize the fuel system by pressing on the schrader valve on the fuel rail.  Then, remove all the intake bolts and get a scraper or similar device to pry the intake loose.
