Nissan Repair: ac blower motor, 1990 nissan 300zx, nissan 300zx

1990 Nissan 300zx blower motor works fine on speeds 1 thru 3. Once it turned onto high the blower  motor fuse blows. i have replaced the fuse and it still does the same thing. i pulled out the motor cleaned it. any help would be appreciated. thanks Brian

Hi Brian -

Looks like the resistor is defective. It should be located somewhere along the ducting of the A/C or even in the engine compartment against the firewall, usually. Look for a squarish device with a couple wires connected to it.

The other one it could be is a defective motor, drawing too much amps on high speed. If you have an amprobe check it against the specs listed on the motor housing.
