Nissan Repair: 2002 Maxima Alternator, inner fender, negative terminal

Do you know where the alternator is located and is it difficult for the average person to change??

The alternator is down on the passenger side of the engine.  Jack up the car and remove the passenger side, front tire, inner fender well and you should have access.  It is a pain to get to but not too difficult.  Disconnect the battery at the negative terminal before you start since you do not want the hit wire to short out when you remove it.
